the more he walked into the cave the cooler it became. he knew not to go too far, lest he loose the light and also the warmth of the summer air bleeding into the cave.

his eyes scanned the cave, a beartic snoozing away as they do in the summer time. he didn't disturb it, and instead started walking a bit in the depth he'd gone to.

he dare go no further in without a decent source of light, which his infernape could provide given she was needed.

to conclude the walk, he eyed a curious thing. something in the dirt. but as a bone was hurled toward him, he just barely dodged. he winced and withdrew a pokéball from his hoodie, a dusk ball. he tossed it out to reveal his gengar, alecto.

"icy wind that way."

with a sinister grin, the gengar launched a wave of ice and wind toward the creature. the marowak's body was barely visible as sam threw a ball to attempt it's capture. he frowned.

"that thing nearly took my head off." alecto laughed, sam glared. "...asshole."

that only made the gengar laugh harder, and it was too contagious, sam ended up laughing along with him.
